This afternoon was spent by watching the local weather channel’s radar until things got to looking really ugly. Around 5:30 p.m., the sky went from threatening gray to ominous black, and we headed for the basement. The weather folks informed us tornadoes were on the way. A few children were pretty frightened, but cheered quickly once everything was over and the sun started shining again.
We’re going to call it a drill, and hope there will not be many more this spring/summer! We love a good thunderstorm, but we could do without the twisties.
